West Virginia Citizen Corps, a program of Volunteer West Virginia, was selected to receive three awards from the FEMA Region III Administrator for its 2009 National Preparedness Month efforts.  The awards are for extraordinary leadership, excellence in partnerships, and outstanding outreach. The full text is copied below.  Citizen Corps is about bringing everyone together and I can’t say enough about the local Councils, partner programs, state agencies, local emergency management and other stakeholders who work every day to help West Virginian’s prepare for disaster.
